Bauhaus Living have obtained planning approval for 14 new houses in a sort after location in East Northamptonshire. We acquired the site in 2020 with an outline permission for residential development already in place. This new approval has taken an extremely long time to conclude (approximately 2 years) with both changing policy and staffing as ongoing barriers. In the end, hard work on all sides led to the right decision by the planning committee.

Usually when we acquire sites with an existing approval, changes are needed to the permission because living spaces are not designed well or construction design methods are not optimal. Thus, we generally find ourselves in constant dialogue with the council to approve amendments to a previously approved scheme. But this site was very different. Here we led the application process and working closely with our architect and planning consultant were able to create a well designed scheme that can be built effectively and will be extremely desirable to buyers. 

Planning is approved for 10 x 3 bed houses and 4 x 4 bed houses situated off a private access road. Consisting of contemporary design, the houses include garages, open-plan family living areas, separate lounges and home offices to name but a few key features.
